When to go to your Doctor's Office

  • Abdominal pain (under age 50)
  • Allergies
  • Bites
  • Diarrhea
  • Minor cuts or tears
  • Cough, cold, flu symptoms
  • Sore throat
  • Minor head injuries (under age 65)
  • Minor injuries
  • Minor sprains and strains
  • Minor burns
  • Skin rashes
  • Eye, nose, ear complaints
  • Urinary tract infection

When to go to an Emergency Department

  • Abdominal pain (over age 50)
  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Dizziness
  • Fracture
  • Early pregnancy complications (under 12 weeks)
  • Numbness, weakness
  • Severe bleeding
  • Severe headaches
  • Shortness of breath
  • Trauma
  • Unconsciousness
  • Urgent mental health conditions, psychosis, or thoughts of harm to self or others.
  • Vision loss
